ARHAAN (POV)

After the whole day of exhaustion and embarrassment in this school it was finally time for us to go home.

As the final bell rang I packed my stuff in my bag and went out towards the school entrance gate near the garden where Ani bhai (brother) and Samar bhai were waiting for me.

I walked to them and Samar bhai handed me a bottle of cold water, i really needed it so I took it, thanked him and drank some of the water.

As I finished drinking it and looked around just casually, I saw those same girls by the gate chatting with themselves. My face burned with embarrassment as I remembered today's incident.

Ani bhai seeing my reddened face look towards where I was looking and soon enough he caught on what I was thinking and burst out laughing.

Samar bhai looked confused so, between me and Ani bhai was trying to understand what was happening. Ani bhai got a hold on himself and immediately started telling Samar bhai everything and I just stood there embarrassed and wishing for the earth to swallow me or sky to break apart and suck me in it.

As Ani bhai completed with his 'story telling' and Samar bhai also started laughing with Ani bhai following him. Samar bhai controlled his laugher and turned to me.

"Wahh chotte, tune toh pehle hi din mein apne charm se ladkiyan pagal kardi. Girls be swaying here and there for you being 'Arhaan-paglu'.." said samar bhai and I felt my face heating up more but i don't know from what, Shyness or embarrassment.

("Woww, you maddened the girl with you charm on the first day itself. Girls be swaying here and there for you being 'Arhaan-paglu'..")

Samar bhai saw those girls and his eyes landed on the one who actually passed the comment and said "Well i wouldn't mind you being around her, she's...quite a beauty"

Ani bhai and me both cringed from his words, not because we thought that girl was ugly but he was acting like a pervert.

"Chiii bhaii, (Eww bro) stop being a weirdo. Eww" i said and he scoffed and said "What! Now I can't appreciate beauty"

"Not Arhaan's enemy" Ani said

"So what is her name?" Samar bhai asked

"Kamini- (Sly-) sorry I mean Inaya. The other is Kavya and the one beside her is Esha" I said pointing at them one by one

"Anyways mom has said that we are supposed to come home after 2 hrs" Samar said

"Kyu? Kya hua" I asked ("Why?What happened")

"Humare liye kuch surprise hai unhone bola" Samar said and we nodded in union ("She said there is some surprise for us")

"Toh, kuch plan hai?" Ani asked ("So, do you guys have any plan")

"Nhi" samar said ("Nope")

"Lagta hai woh ladkiyan yaha hi ruk rhi hai toh phir-" I was going to say something but ani cuts me saying ("I think those girls are going to stay here for some time so-")

"Idhar ke alwa tujhe kidhar bhi chalega right" he said while grinning and wrapped his arm around me ("You will be okay with any place other than this, right?")

"No! hum unse badla lenge kuch prank ya kuch bhi" I said while removing his hand ("No! We will take revenge from them, prank or something")

"what" "geez" "god what's happening" they both said one by one

"Kya hua yaar?" I asked (What happened bro?)

"Tujhe kya ho gya achanak se" Samar bhai asked (What happened to you suddenly)

"Are sorry tumlogo ko batana bhul gya ki ab se padhai ke saath masti bhi karunga sab bolte hai 'kitna padta hai tu' toh masti bhi karunga" as soon as I completed they both hugged me tightly ("Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you all, from now on I'll be having fun along with studying. Everyone keeps saying 'you study so much' so yeah, I'm gonna have some fun too!")

"Waah humara bhai theek ho gya" Ani said ("Wow our brother has become normal ")

"Finally bhagwan ne meri baat sun li. Thank you bhagwan ji." Samar said ("Finally god has listened to my prayers. Thank you god.")

"Haa. Chalo mere paas ek plan hai" Ani said ("Yes, so I have a plan.")

"Bata" I said (Say)

"Woh dekho, woh ladkiyan udhar kuch order kar rhe hai un toh hum jaate hai order karte hai aur ek plate mein sab khana lekar usme snow sprayer dalte hai aur kisi ko bol dete hai ki unko ye box de de aur unko lagega ki unka order hai phir jaise hi kholenge BOOM! pura unke upar spray ho jaayega." Ani said ("Look over there, those girls are ordering something. So we will go and place an order too, and we will take everything on one plate. Then we will put a snow sprayer in it and tell someone to hand them the box, making it look like it's their order. The moment they open it — BOOM! The spray blasts all over them")

"Wow! Pheli baar kuch kaam ka bola tune bhai" I said and patted his back ("Wow! For the first time you have said something useful")

"Haa chalo ab saman lene jaate hai" samar bhai says and we all went to bring the items ("Yess now lets go and get all the stuff")

TIME SKIP--

"Excuse me, kya aap ye un ladkiyon ko de skte ho?" I approached a guy ("Excuse me, can you give this to those girls?")

"Kyu aisa kya hai isme" that guy asked ("Why? What is in this")

"Isko kya panchayat hai" Ani muttered ("Why is he interfering") and Samar bhaiya smacked him lightly and whispered "Isme bomb bhi ho skta tha, usko kya pata obviously he will ask. ("There could've been a bomb in it too, how would he know. Obviously, he will ask!")

"Sushh" I said

"Kuch special nhi, sirf khana hai. I was supposed to give her but I'm running late so can you help me?" I asked ("Nothing special, it's only food. I was supposed to give her but I'm running late so can you help me?")

"Sure no problem" he said and went towards them

INAYA(POV)

Inaya and her friends (Kavya, Esha) were waiting for their order to come unaware of Arhaan and his brothers plan.

"Pata hai Kavu aaj kya hua-" ("Do you know what happened today-") I was going to continue but she cuts me by saying  "No"

"Aree sun tu bhi Esha. Toh na mein Shivani, Marisha aur Priyanka cafeteria mein the toh na humne truth or dare khelne ka decide kiya" ("You also listen Esha. So Shivani, Marisha aur Priyanka were in the cafeteria so decided to play truth or dare")

"Accha" they both replied ("Okayy")

"Toh mujhe dare milla ki us idiot Arhaan par line marni hai.." and I continue with the story ("So I got a dare to flirt with that idiot Arhaan..")

"Omgggg that ws so embarrassing" Kavya says and the both start laughing and then we continue to discuss about our day

"Mujhe toh phele hi pata chal gaya tha." Esha said ("I already knew it.")

"Kaise?" Kavya asked ("How?")

"Are cafeteria mein logo se kabar udti udti aa gyi." Esha said and flicked her hair ("The news came flying from the people in cafeteria")

"Ooh" I said and we continued to talk

"Yaar badi bhuk lagi hai kitna time lagega order ko." I huffed and placed my head on my hand ("Guys, I am very hungry how much time will the order take")

"Dekh koi humare taraf aa rha hai khaane ka box leke, humara order hai shayad" Kavya said ("Look someone is coming towards us with a box, looks like its our order")

"Hey! A guy told me to give it you and he said he was getting late, that's why he sent it through me." that guy said

"Oh thank you" I take the box and he leaves

AUTHOR (POV)

As soon as Inaya opens the box and her friends lean in only to find a wave of snow getting sprayed and smeared on their faces on her face. Arhaan takes the advantage of the moment and clicks their picture from the corner they were standing in hiding.

Inaya and her friends help each other to get cleaned using tissues they had with them. Then they find a note in the box stating-

"Hope you had fun kamini. Maine bola tha mai badla leke rahunga, aainda wese kuch kiya toh mai sidha gobar phek dunga tumhare upar."

Respectfully, yours lovely leechad :)

("Hope you had fun kamini.I said that I will take revenge and if you do anything like this again, I will directly throw you in cow dung.")

"Oh god Inu! Kya hua?" Esha asks ("Oh god Inu,! What happened?")

"Ye sab uss leechad i mean uss Arhaan ka kaam hai, ughh" Inaya says ("This is all that leechad's I mean Arhaan's doing, ughh.")

"Yaar uski band bajani padegi. Aisa kaun karta hai" Kavya says (Man, we'll have to teach him a lesson. Who does such a thing?")

"Wahi toh. Meine socha tha maaf kar dungi thodi si hi behes hui thi upar se woh dusra wala toh dare tha na meri kya galti thi. Ab mein usse chodne nhi waali. The game is on now" Inaya says slapping her fist with her palm.  ("Exactly! I thought I will forgive him and it was just a small argument. The other one was a dare, so how was it my fault? Now I'm not going to spare him. The game is on now")

"Dont worry we've got your backs" Esha says

"Lets eat now please" Kavya says while rubbing her stomach and makes a sad face

"Yeah, let's go" Inaya says and they go to some other place to eat not wanting any more pranks to be played on them.

"By the way Kavu, tu aaj ghar aa rhi hai na" Inaya says while eating gaining Esha's attention too ("By the way Kavu, you're coming home today right?")

"Ha-aa" Kavya says while stuttering slightly

"Are Esha mumma ne bola kuch surprise hai humare liye. Puri family ghar aa rhi hai" Kavya says and Esha responds with an oh and nods her head. ("Esha, mom said there's some surprise for us. The whole family is coming home.")

Inaya savored the taste of  her Pav Bhaaji. The tangy taste of the bhaaji gave a soft kick to the pav which softly melted in her mouth. Even though he doesn't like any type of bhaaji, the 'bhaaji' in Pav Bhaaji hits differently. Without some spice or tanginess her life is incomplete.

Kavya was enjoying her Vada pav to the fullest. Even though she does not get many chances to eat junk food due to her parents strictness but when make the fullest of it whenever she gets a chance. She loves her Vada pav spicy even if she has cough or cold. Just like Vada is incomplete without Pav, their friendship is incomplete without each other.

Esha was having her Bhel Puri. She has a knack of trying different flavours of chaat. No matter where she goes or how much she eats when she sees chaat she will always try one. If she finds some common flavours, she will mix them and make some 'atrangi'  flavour. Esha and normal are poles apart.

Those three being best friends apne dosto ke khaane mein naak na daale aisa thodi ho sakta hai and girl code always. They were sharing their food with each other, while laughing and having fun, ignoring everything.

"I gotta go, and you guys probably have to leave too. Byee" Esha says and goes home

"Are you coming home with me?" Inaya asks to which Kavya says "Yes" and they leave 

CHAUHAN HOUSE

The Chauhan's were engrossed in their terrace ready with beautiful flowers and balloons. Fairy lights adored the walls twinkling like little stars. The table was covered with a soft, silk cloth and a flower vase in the center with food kept in towards the right and left of it. The utensils were perfectly placed in front of everyone's chairs with a small napkin kept in the plate. Everything was elegantly decorated. It was matching their aesthetics and gave a welcoming vibe.

The Malhotra family was also there helping helping with the decorations for the get-together with jokes, giggles and laughs.

Despite the positive atmosphere there were few people not happy about all this.  Ranvijay, Gulabo, Chavi and Nikhilesh. They were afraid Arhaan and Inaya will click again and their years of efforts to bring Kavya and Arhaan close would go in vain. Soon Inaya and Kavya came too.

"You!" Inaya and Arhaan scream together

"Tum yaha kaise. Ab mera peecha bhi karne lag gye leechad" Inaya says ("You are here. Now you're follwing me too.")

"Oh please mujhe koi interest nhi hai tumhara peecha karne mein kamini" Arhaan says ("Oh please I have no interest in following you")

"What type of nickname is this 'leechad and 'kamini', you're not enemies right" Payal says

"Aise thodi baat karte hai guests se" Aradhya scolds Inaya ("This is not how you should behave with guests.")

"Yes Inaya." Arhaan mocks her

"Arhaann!" Shalini scolds him and Inaya smirks her remark "Baccha they are your surprise" she continues

"Kaun hai ye par?" Aniket asks claiming a soft giggle from others ("Who are they tho?")

"Yaad hai mein tumlogo ko bachpan ke pictures dikhaya karti thi aur mein tumhare best friends aur mere best friends ke saath mein pictures the, ye woh hi log hai." ("Do you remember during your childhood I used to show you pictures of your and my best friends, they are the same people")

"Yeh!" both Inaya and Arhaan exclaim ("Them!")

"Mummy mein bata rhi hu jitna mujhe yaad hai aur jitna aapne bataya hai uss se toh ye Arhaan bilkul match nhi karta. Woh pura badal chuka hai, leechad kahika" Inaya says ("Mom I'm telling you as per what I remember and what you have said, this Arhaan does not match it. He has changed, leechad.")

"Same to you kamini" Arhaan mocks her back

"I knew that they were our childhood best friends" Samarthya says

"How?" Aniket asks

"Mein Kavya ko dekhte hi samjh gya tha aur mein bada bhi tha compared to others, so I remember them." Samarthya says and everyone nods in response ("I understood as soon as I saw Kavya and I was older compared to others, so I remember them.")

"Ye dono toh bachpan mein best friends the, ab kya ho gya?" Gulabo says faking concern for the kids. ("They best friends during their childhood, what happened now?")

"Yeah, now tell us what happened at college today." Suraj tells them and the kids sit in their places

"So wha-" "Mein batati hu phele.." Inaya cuts Arhaan to which he was going to retort but keeps his mouth shut due his mom's glare ("I'll say first...")

FLASHBACK-

Inaya, Kavya and Esha were assigned to give Arhaan and Aniket a small school tour. The girls were thrilled as they would not have to attend their class and roam together. The boys did not seem to like the idea of the girls because they did not want to walk much only to give them free time together. Still, they went not wanting to cause any trouble. The girls gave them the tour taking chances to speak one by one but soon Kavya being the obedient one took the initiative to continue remaining tour while Inaya and Esha were giggling and talking. 

"Can you both shut up its irritating" Arhaan says 

"Toh kaan band karke chalo na" Inaya retorts back ("Then walk while closing your ears")

"Tumhe chup rehne mein kya jaa rha hai aur kitna hasti ho."  ("What will you lose by keeping quiet and you laugh so much.")

"Bohot kuch mein mera time waste nhi karna chati. Mein baat karke time use karungi. Upar se hasna sehat ke liye accha hota hai." ("Many things, I don't want to waste my time. I will talk and use my time. On top of that laughing is healthy for your body.")

[Inaya roasting him badly using her last studious brain cell]

"Woww"

"uhg" Inaya says raising her hands up and she continues to walk but instead Arhaan steps on her shoes from the back and she falls on the ground making her clothes dirty due to floors wetness

"Eww what have you done, my clothes are wet now. Are you mad or what!" Inaya says and her friends help her getting up

 "Mein boldu kya teachers ko ki tum time pass kar rhe ho." Arhaan says ("Should I tell the teachers that you both are goofing around.")

"O leechad, teachers tumhare bato ka vishwaas nhi karne wale principal mam ne unko bola hai ki hum tum dono ko tour de rhe hai." Inaya says and Arhaan huffs in response ("O leechad, teachers are not going too believe you because principal mam personally told them to give you both a tour.")

"Usne tujhe leechad bola." Aniket whispers in Arhaan's ear loud enough for others to hear ("She called you leechad.")

"Mujhe leechad kaise bola kamini" Arhaan retorts ("How did you call me leechad")

"Muh se" Inaya says mockingly ("From my mouth")

"Usne bhi tujhe kamini bola" Kavya says  ("He also called you leechad")

"Koi bada kaam nhi kiya hai tumne mujhe leechad bol kar." Arhaan said ("You haven't done anything great by calling me leechad.")

"Par ab jo karungi na woh bada kaam hoga" Inaya says ("But what I'm about to do now, will be somthing great.") and pushes Arhaan into the pool and continues "Aise geela karte hai leechad" ("This is how you should make someone wet, leechad.")

"AHH kamini tu gyi, Ani kuch kar bhai hai na tu mera" Arhaan says and Aniket pushes Inaya into the pool ("AHH kamini you're gone now, Ani do something you are my brother right!")

"Haww Inu ko pool mein kaise phek liya" Kavya says ("Haww, how did you throw Inu in the pool")

"Jaise usne Arhaan ko pheka" Aniket says while Esha is busy taking their drenched pictures ("The same way how she throwed Arhaan.")

"Yaar idhar se nikalte hai, usse pehele ki mam unhe pakad le" Kavya says  ("Let's get out of here before Mam catches them.")

"kya hua baccho" They all turn to the janitor(maushi) standing behind them ("What happened kids")

[ye maushi hi sab cheezo ki jad hoti hai]

"Aun-un-tyy aap yaha" Esha says while stuttering ("Aun-un-tyy you're here")

"Ha beta chalo ab mam ke pass, abhi toh meine saaf kiya tha waapas geela kar diya. Kitni shararat karte ho." the janitor scolds them ("Yeah, come on, let's go to Mam now. I had just cleaned it, and now you've made it wet again. How much mischief do you keep doing!") and  calls the teacher passing by "Mam dekhiye ye bacche shararat kar rhe.." she continues to complain ("Mam look these kids are doing mischief...") and the kids were making sad faces, mouthed pleadings, held their ears, joined their hands and did different poses to not get punished. The teacher stood there with a serious face but her uncontrollable smile was quite evident.

"Kya hua mam" the janitor asks ("What happened mam")

"Kuch nhi didi aap bolo" She replies trying to control her smile ("Nothing did you continue")

"Accha ab aap dekhlo in baccho ko mein jaati hu" the janitor says and walks away ("Okay, now you see these kids, I am going.")

"Mam pls sorry" "Let it be" "Let it go" "Sorry mam" they all start saying at the same time.

"It's okay, I'm not going to do anything. If you don't have fun now, then when? But keep in mind that next time if you do something too much, I won't be able to save you." She assures them to which they thank her and bid her goodbye

"Tujhe toh baad mein dekhta hu kamini" Arhaan says ("I'll see you later, kamini")

"Chal ja leehad, kya hi kar le-" Inaya was going to continue but gets dragged by her friends and walks away ("Go away leechad, what can you even do-")

PAUSE

"Bas itni si baat?" Payal says ("Is that all?")

"Nhi aur bohot hai." Arhaan replies ("No, there's much more.")

"Isiliye tumhare kapde badle hue hai." Aradhya says to which Inaya nods ("That's why your clothes have changed.")

"Then cafe-" Arhaan was going to going say but earns a glare from Inaya ("Nothing in the cafeteria, but in the garden...")

"Cafeteria mein toh kuch nhi par garden mein.." Arhaan continues with the story ("Nothing in the cafeteria, but in the garden...")

CONTINUE

Arhaan decided that from now on he will have fun as well as study because everyone says he studies so much, so he will have fun too. So, Aniket made a plan that 

From where they place the order, they'll place an order and take all the food on a plate, put a snow sprayer in that box, and tell someone to give it to them. They'll think it's their order, and as soon as they open it—boom—the whole spray will go all over them.

And they also kept a note inside the box so that they know its them. Everything went as they planned and the girls successfully got pranked.

"Woww seriously guys ye sab karne bheja tha tum logo ko college" Radha scolds them ("Wow, seriously guys, was this what you were sent to college for?")

"Bacche hai masti toh karnege." Rudra says ("They're kids, they'll have fun right.")

"Mast plan tha par" Payal and gives Arhaan a high five ("It was a great plan though")

"Don't worry Inu mein tere saath hu." Radha says and Inaya blows her kiss ("Don't worry Inu, I'm with you.")

"Toh tum log ab best friends nhi ho?" Ranvijay asks curiously ("So you guys are not best friends now?")

"Dhur dhur tak nhi" Inaya says ("Not at all")

"Of course not" Arhaan says

"Samarthya, Aniket and Kavya what about you" Chavi asks

"No way" "Not happening" "Nope" they all say one by one

"Don't worry mumma papa aap logo ke friendship ke beech mein nhi aayenge hum. Agar woh sorry bolenge toh maybe kuch ho skta hai." Inaya says ("Don't worry mom and dad, we won't come between your friendship. If they say sorry, then maybe something can happen.")

"Oh no way, you will have to say sorry, Kamini." Arhaan says 

"Chalo bas na, let's just enjoy now please, mere liye." Shalini says ("Come on, let's just enjoy now please, for my sake.")

"Yes" "Sorry aunty" the kids say and the dinner continues peacefully with little bickering. Soon the Malhotras leave for their house while Chavi and her family stay there for a night.

Chavi, Nikhilesh, Ranvijay and Gulabo were having a small talk about the recent changes with Kavya

"Baccho ne ab humara kaam asaan kar diya hai." Ranvijay says ("The kids have made our job easier now.")

"Ha par Arhaan mujhe bhi hate karta hai" Kavya says ("Yeah, but Arhaan hates me too.")

"Usko baad mein badal denge, sabse zyadi darar toh Arhaan aur Inaya mein aayi hai Kavya ke saath still chance hai." Gulabo says ("We'll change that later; the biggest rift is between Arhaan and Inaya, there's still a chance with you.")

"Hum abhi kuch kar sakte nhi toh shak ho jaayega, bacche hai woh abhi par plan ready rakhna hai kabhi bhi kuch bhi ho sakta hai aur time aane par unko ek kar lenge." Chavi says and everyone nods in response ("We can't do anything right now, or it will raise suspicion. They are kids, but we need to keep a plan ready; anything can happen, and when the time comes, we'll bring them together.")

"Kavya tumhe usse apne pyaar mein laana hoga." Gulabo sternly tells Kavya

"Ji dadi. Ek baar friendship ho jaaye kuch hafte baad phir mein try karungi." Kavya says

"Try nhi, you have to make sure." Chavi says

"Ha-a mumma" Kavya answers and they all go to their rooms
