Author's POV

The Chauhan's and Malhotra's were family friends and were having a party on the occasion of Arhaan's birthday. Suraj Malhotra and his wife Shalini Malhotra with their kids Arhaan, Samarthya(8), and Aniket(7). The party was held in their lawn. Even though the Malhotra's were rich they preferred keeping a small private party with their loved ones.

Inaya-5 years old ; Arhaan-6 years old

"Arhaannnnn!" inaya called him while running

Hearing her voice he came running to hug her but instead they crashed into each and fell on their backs. looking at them their parents started laughing softly.

They got up and "Happy Birthday Arhaan" Inaya said and him while Arhaan hugged her back saying  "Thank you". They were looking very cute and their parents were clicking their pictures, making cute memories.

Inaya and Arhaan started running after each other giggling and laughing, playing while the elder were talking with.

Samarthya, Aniket, Ishaan, Kavya, Arhaan and Inaya were playing lock and key. The boys were easily able to catch the girls which made them very angry. 

"Inaya aur Kavya sorry na pls khelo na" Aniket said 

"Nhi tum sab bohot fast ho mujhe jaldi out kar dete ho" Inaya said   ("No, you all are too fast! You always make me out so quickly" )

"Haa tum bohot fast ho" Kavya said   ("Yes, you are very fast!")

"PLEASEEEE" all the boys said in union

"Nhiiiii" the girls said together  ("Noooooo")

"Please na hum tum logo ko chocolates denge" Arhaan said  ("Please, we will give you both chocolates")

"Sirf chocolates??" Inaya chimed in   ("Only chocolates?")

"Theek hai barbie-barbie bhi khelege" Ishaan said   ("Okay fine we will also play barbie-barbie")

"YAYYY" the girls jumped and hugged each other and the boys left out soft sigh

They proceeded playing lock and key with the boys slowing their paces and giving the girls opportunity to beat them some time too. Then as per the boys' promise they gave the girls extra chocolates and brought the doll house from inside which they would play whenever Inaya or Kavya would come (You know the reason).

It was a joyful moment but someone was not liking the bond the two families had with each other. That was Ranvijay and Gulabo. They were the parents of Rudra. They had always wanted their grand-daughter Kavya who was their daughter Chavi's daughter to be married with the Malhotra's eldest son-Arhaan. Chavi and Nikhilesh wanted the same, Not because they were friends but because of the greed for their money and status.

Whereas Rudra and Suraj were friends since highschool when they both had decent amount of money. They were with each other during their ups and downs, happiness and sadness and the hardest times. Rudra never wanted much money or own a business, he just wanted enough money to get decent things and have a happy life. Suraj was passionate about having his own company, not with the greed of money but with passion. 

When they got married their wives instantly clicked with each other and became best friends. The thought of marrying their kids with each other never crossed their minds. They had a very modern thinking would always respect their kids choices. But this was not same with Ranvijay, Gulabo, Chavi and Nikhilesh. 

They thought that since they were family friends (Suraj's deceased parents were close too) their kids should marry each other and also the greed for their money pitched in.

"Everyone, come to cut the cake"

Inaya and Arhaan came running towards the cake. It was a paw patrol themed cake.

"OMG, Mumma its my fav cartoon's cakeee!" Arhaan said while giggling

"Yess baccha" Aradhya said while hugging him  ("yess son")

Aradhya called Inaya and Kavya who were standing at the side with their father, to come and cut the cake with arhaan, samarthya and abhigyan. They gathered around the table singing happy birthday while Arhaan was cutting the cake.

Soon the sun setted and they went inside to have their dinner.
The rest of the evening flew away in laughter, games, giggling of the kids, cute little fighting of theirs and Inaya and Arhaan's cute moments despite that the jealousy of chavi, nikhilesh, ranvijay and gulabo towards the bonding of arhaan and inaya lingered in the air that no one seemed to sense of notice....

Soon the dinner was over and Suraj rose from his seated calling every to grab their attention. His tone was soft and saddened making everyone curious about what he wanted to let everyone know.

 "Guys! I have an announcement to make. We....."
